This Is Why I've Been Complaining

about all the shoveling I’ve been doing this year. The hardest part is lifting the snow up and throwing it over these 5’+ snowbanks.

I bet that is one good workout! Yikes, we live in such different worlds...weather wise.

I was going to say the same thing about the workout. We've had very little snow this year, but we did get enough for a couple of days of fun for Michael, sledding and snowman building.

You should see my biceps. :) Too bad it's so hard on the back.

We had snowbanks like that in our yard, but they have disappeared now. Yours are still there. What a big job!

I'm always surprised that so many Yukoners pay for gym memberships - maybe they live in condos! Between hauling firewood and shovelling snow, we just don't use our home gym much this time of year. Ah well, only 2 months more of it..... :(

When we first moved to Idaho, just as I was going into the fourth grade (several centuries ago), the snow at my grandparent's place in Bellevue was like that. Their driveway had walls of snow on either side, and the snow went up to the eaves of the house. For a kid, it was an absolute wonderland. For those doing the shoveling, there is a better title for it, I am sure. This has been a colder winter for us, with snowfall above average, but never much deeper than our ankles. Kudos to you, Rebecca, you are certainly doing a great job keeping up with it. Come on spring thaw!

I love your blue coat ... and that you are smiling!

And wow -- that is a big shovel!

The only time recently that I have been in that much snow was winter camp last year in Washington!

can I say ....snowblower?

Most years a snowblower would be useless for us, so I don't think I'll be investing. :)
